You open your eyes and look out the window to view the sun pushing through the darkness - and it's 7:00 AM. The beauty of winter dawns is we get to appreciate the the beauty of the sunrise while sleeping in a little.
Winter Dawn is the perfect size for a rug or draped over the back of your favorite chair. The tog (outer coat) on this beautiful Icelandic lambskin hide is white and cream, with a smattering of rust, and is about 5.5" - 6" long. The soft, fine inner coat, called the thel, is a mix of white and dark taupe - adding a beautiful dimension to the fleece.
The soft leather measures 27" x 38.5". There is a quarter sized hole near the middle, but is completely hidden by the abundant fleece. There is also a small section of exposed leather on top.
Our hides are naturally tanned by an incredible small tannery in our home state that uses a chemical-free process. Our sheep are raised with love, and for the few destined for the freezer, we honor their lives by using the whole animal.
